Schengen area
Prepared by the desk and lodged in person at VFS Global in Kathmandu, with biometrics on the day.
What you need
7 documents required and 1 optional — you upload each one after applying, and the desk tells you if anything is missing.
- Passport Required Valid at least 6 months beyond your travel date, with two blank pages. Scan the photo page.
- Photograph Required 35 × 45 mm on a white background, taken in the last 6 months.
- Bank statement Required Last 6 months, stamped by the bank, showing a balance that covers the trip.
- Flight itinerary Required Return flight itinerary. A reservation is enough — do not buy the ticket before the visa is granted.
- Hotel booking Required Hotel confirmation covering every night, or a host letter if you are staying with family.
- Employment or leave letter Required Letter from your employer with your position, salary and approved leave dates; business registration if self-employed.
- Travel insurance Required Travel medical insurance covering at least €30,000 for the whole Schengen stay.
- Invitation letter If you have it If someone is hosting you: their letter, passport copy and proof of residence.
How the desk handles it
A Schengen application is lodged at the VFS Global centre for the country you will spend the most nights in. We prepare the file — the form, the cover letter, the itinerary and every supporting document in the order the consulate wants — and book your VFS appointment. You attend in person for fingerprints and the interview; we brief you beforehand.
Fifteen working days is the standard processing time once the file reaches the consulate, and it can be longer in the summer. Apply at least six weeks before you travel.
Your scans are stored in a private folder that is never served from the website itself, opened only by you and our staff, and deleted automatically after your trip.
