What you need
4 documents required and 2 optional — you upload each one after applying, and the desk tells you if anything is missing.
- Passport Required Valid at least 6 months beyond your travel date, with two blank pages. Scan the photo page.
- Photograph Required 35 × 45 mm on a white background, taken in the last 6 months.
- Bank statement Required Last 6 months, stamped by the bank, showing a balance that covers the trip.
- Employment or leave letter Required Letter from your employer with your position, salary and approved leave dates; business registration if self-employed.
- Flight itinerary If you have it Return flight itinerary. A reservation is enough — do not buy the ticket before the visa is granted.
- Invitation letter If you have it If someone is hosting you: their letter, passport copy and proof of residence.
How the desk handles it
The subclass 600 is lodged online through an ImmiAccount we open in your name, with every document uploaded as a certified scan. You give biometrics at VFS in Kathmandu within two weeks of lodging; there is no interview.
The Department weighs the bank statement and the employment letter heavily — the question they are answering is whether you will return — so those two are the ones to get right. Twenty working days is typical; family-visit applications can take longer.
Your scans are stored in a private folder that is never served from the website itself, opened only by you and our staff, and deleted automatically after your trip.
