The route

The Everest Base Camp Trek runs for 14 days, topping out at 5,545 metres.

We run this route with an indigenous crew, teahouses booked ahead in the busy season, and every permit filed by our Kathmandu office before you land. Group sizes are capped so the pace stays honest and nobody gets pushed through an acclimatisation day they need.

Nothing is payable in advance. You settle in Kathmandu once you have met your guide and checked the gear.

  • Kala Patthar at 5,545 m for the Everest panorama
  • Tengboche monastery above the Imja Khola
  • Namche Bazaar acclimatisation
  • Lukla mountain flight
